Why Cricket is always mixed with Terrorism? Is that going to solve all the Problems?

Politics was always dirty but it has gone absurd to such a level that it simply creates an atmosphere of tension among the citizens rather than security.

Before I begin to write down the article, I clearly believe that any attack on Indian soul or an Indian jawan is a matter of biggest loss to me and the nation. It creates a huge sadness and rage within me to give a fitting reply to the criminals.

But since the last few years, the advent of terrorism has increased manifold and many free-funding mid age politicians who have literally nothing in life apart from creating tensions and controversies are spoiling the game of Cricket.

A bomb blast has been carried out by a group of terrorists, you work hard to nab them, kill them, simple as that. But our goverment, what we do is, rather than focusing on the solution we focus on the making the situation more worse.

Is banning a cricket game between India and Pakistan solve all the terrorist problems between us? Will that bring back our martyred soldiers back to life? If that’s the solution then we should completely stop the game but to be honest that’s far away from being the solution.

The solution in reality is to strengthen our Intelligence on the borders, to be more vigilant, make the army and our army’s technological weapons more efficient. Ensure there is an unbreakable security at the borders. The government and the politicians who are saying don’t play cricket which is just an innocent sport bringing two nations together bringing joy and smiles to crores of houses should rather focus on investing their time and money on the borders. They should invest their time on the army’s welfare, invest money on making the security more guarded and advanced at the borders, invest in the welfare of martyred soldier’s families but that never happens.

What happens is as if it will solve all the problems of the world- We post hate speeches on social media, we publish hate posts on various social media platforms like Twitter, facebook and instagram showing our patriotism, We run the hate atmosphere on news channels 24/7 for few days after any terrorist attacks and last but not the least we will not forget to say that now India will not play Pakistan in any cricket matches if that was the solution to all the problems.

In the last 5 decades, the only thing which has brought two nations together no matter what the intensity of the rivalry is, the only thing which has invited love, joy and smile to million of families across borders have been the India-Pakistan games. We have witnessed some of the most monumental matches, some of the most talented players, some of the most iconic performances giving undivided simple entertainment to the families of both the countries and by banning those games if you think the problems will get solved, I think it’s completely wrong.

Handling a popular social media page of cricket myself, a few days back I posted AB De Villiers reverse sweep to fast bowler Junaid Khan in PSL. It was a simple cricket post acknowledging a great cricketers shot but what our audience started commenting was- “Take down the post or we will unfollow, we don’t want anything from Pakistan” like what the hell! It’s a mere cricket post appreciating ABD’s shot and we simply do all this non sense and the end user who commented thinks his posts/comments of hate is going to be the best solution to stop terrorist attacks.

MY HUBLE REQUEST TO THE CRICKET LOVERS IN INDIA AND THE POLICITIANS, PLEASE DO NOT MIX ANY SPORT OR ANY TEAM WITH POLITICS OR TERRORISM. ANY SPORT’S CONSISTS OF SPORTSMAN WHO HAVE WORKED HARD TO REPRESENT THEIR NATION. IT’S A GAME AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL WHICH UNITES COUNTRIES AND THIS DOES NOT SIMPLY APPLY TO IND-PAK GAMES, ITS ACROSS ALL SPORTS ACROSS ALL COUNTRIES WHERE THIS TENDENCY NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.

“KILL THE TERRORISTS-NOT THE SPORT”as it has nothing to do with it.
