5 Things Which We Terribly Miss In Indian Cricket After Sachin-Sehwag’s Retirement!

Sachin and sehwag have been a great pair of openers for India and so has Sachin-Ganguly, Sehwag-Ganguly and Sehwag-Gambhir! But what made this opening pair stood apart was Sehwag idolised Sachin and watching them play together was like a harmony of a teacher & student batting together. Plus both had almost similar batting stance & approach towards batting. Hence not being able to see them again for Indian colors together is something we miss terribly! Hence we came out with a list of 5 things which we miss in Indian cricket after sachin-sehwag’s retirement!

Fear in the face of the bowlers!

While one is the master of batting, the most successful batsman in the history of cricket, the other one is his idol and one of the most feared & dangerous opening batsman ever produced! The amount of pressure and fear which bowlers have gone through bowling them was a sight to behold. I mean who won’t be intimidated bowling to such a pair. Even the biggest & best of the bowlers would devise and plan strategies to get them out quickly.

Great opening starts!

One thing was assured when they opened together & that was great opening starts. Players like dhawan, rahane or rohit as openers are nowhere near the awe and fear which these legends created. When these two batted together run-rate of above six was a normal sight most of the times!

Watching opposite teams under pressure!

The biggest of the opposition would do their best to get rid of this opening pair. The teams would look totally tensed and under pressure until they would get atleast one of them out.

Their brilliant co-ordination

While Sachin was the crafty one building the innings, sehwag would go for the kill. That was the best part about their combination as things like ego and miscommunication was out of question. Also they had a brilliant co-ordination to understand & compliment each other in the middle of the crease.

Amazing display of strokes!

While Sachin was like watching an artist creating a sketch. Masterful and well timed strokes were his forte. Who does not miss his elegant straight drives and cover drives. While on the other side, it was a roller coaster ride like an action packed movie watching Sehwag smash those brutal and belligerent strokes right from the start.

We miss you Guys.
