10 Modern Day Hard Hitters of The Ball In International Cricket!

We all know the likes of the Mccullums, the jayasuriya’s, the afridi’s, the sehwag’s and more. Yes agreed, they were one of the biggest hitters. But more than half of them have gone and retired. Hence it was important to know who has taken their mantle ahead! Hence we came up with a list of 10 Modern day hard hitters of the ball in International cricket at present.

Glenn Maxwell (Australia)

Popularly called the “the big show”. Glenn Maxwell has went on to become the next gen symonds or afridi for Australia. Though a little inconsistent, but boy! no one clears the rope as good as Maxwell!

Kieron Pollard (West Indies)

Pollard is the right handed version of Chris Gayle. Do we need to explain it furthermore?

Andre Russel (West Indies)

I bet no sight is as entertaining as watching Andre Russell smashing “stand and deliver sixes” to the best of the bowlers right out of the park. Andre Russell has wild brutal power & by far is the hardest hitter in this list.

Aaron Finch (Australia)

Finch is no doubt a calculative batsman and won’t give away his wicket like maxwell or afridi. But when it comes to hard hitting, he is right there joining them at par in this list.

David Warner (Australia)

The “mini dynamo” as he is popularly called. If mini dynamo explodes, its a hell for the bowlers as he can smash sixes easily & consistently at any part of the ground.

Corey Anderson (New Zealand)

The New Zealand all-rounder who broke Afridi’s 18 year old record for the fastest century has proved that he is a clean hitter of the ball & rightly enters the list.

Mahmudullah (Bangladesh)

Still premature to make him enter this list but from what we have seen, unlike other Bangladeshi batsman, Mahmudullah is not afraid to take risks, even if it is against a big team or a big bowler and even excels which makes him stand out and allows him to enter this list.

Ab De Villiers (South Africa)

Ab de Villiers is the perfect posterboy for this title “best modern day hitter” Unlike many other players, De villiers is far more consistent even after being so aggressive at the crease. Tell us one shot which he can’t play and we will remove him from this list!

David Miller (South Africa)

Another South African enters the list. Miller’s exploits have more been in IPL but we hope as and when the time progresses, he serves his nation equally too because Miller has tremendous power and ability to clear the boundaries & stadiums.

Suresh Raina

The only Indian to feature in this list is Raina who has shown his exploits in the limited format of the game. Raina does possess a great ability to time the ball out of the park in the last overs! Apart from Raina, Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj, hardly there is any clean hitter of the ball and India desperately needs one!
